Victory with a Victorian Lantern

I Love jobs like this. My client wanted to remove a lovely old Victorian lamp from their porch to allow for it to be restored, but this was not as straightforward as first thought.

Years worth of re-painting over fixings had left all the original fixings well and truly seized, however after a bit of elbow grease and removal of old paint I was able to remove the complete unit without the need to cut any of the metalwork.

Should you have any odd jobs like this I would love to hear from you.

As the owner of the featured lantern, I would just like to say how delighted I was with Tony's work. It did not appear to be a simple job at all - it is heavy and quite high up with a heavy old gas pipe fixing it. Tony sorted it and got it down with no damage. Also very prompt response.
